June 11, 2018

Hey everyone!
It was a good week! It was transfer week, but Sister Johnson and I both survived! Woo-hoo! We're both so happy to stay here and stay together - we think we'll both be here for a long time.
Sister Johnson and I have mostly been running around trying to take care of our investigators, potentials, and part member families! It's hard trying to balance finding and teaching the people we already have - but Heavenly Father is always helping us!
On Friday, we found a man named Richard. He was sitting on the curb (I didn't even see him) and we rolled down the window and asked if we could talk with him. We ended up sitting on the curb with him for a half hour and we talked a lot about his struggles and taught the Restoration and parts of the Plan of Salvation, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we mentioned the Word of Wisdom. We even committed him to baptism in August! It was a crazy miracle, and now we're just trying to set up another (more formal) appointment with him! God definitely leads us to the people that need the gospel in their lives - He knows when they'll be ready.
A sad thing that happened this week was that Tim, who was on date for this upcoming Saturday, moved out of our area and is in a crazy situation. We're doing all we can to help from this end, but it's just so hard! But it's okay - sometimes you just need to put them back into the Lord's hands. He knows and has a testimony of the gospel, and he'll progress in whatever place he ends up at. I am so grateful for the opportunity Sister Johnson and I had to teach him.
Those are the most exciting things from the week (and all I have time for haha!)
I love you all so much! Have an amazing week and don't forget to put your trust in the Lord - you will never be in safer hands!
Sister Carlson
